  • ELIGIBLE YEAR MODELS AND BODY STYLES: 1977 or older US Domestic Make/Model.  Exception to models that extend to the end of generation (2nd gen Camaro/Firebird, etc please ask for a ruling if you are not sure!)
  • ENGINE:  Must be era appropriate, swaps OK (No late model swaps allowed, (LS, Coyote, Mod, modern HEMI, Nascar, DRCE, etc--please ask for ruling if you are unsure.)  Must have oil retention device (diaper or NHRA spec pan)  Cast iron or aluminum engine blocks permitted, but must retain original external appearance. No billet blocks.
  • ENGINE MOUNTING/LOCATION:  Block and/or heads must not touch the stock firewall. Solid engine mounts permitted. Motor/Mid plates permitted.
  • OIL SYSTEM:  Dry-sumps prohibited.
  • INTAKE:  Any commercially available cast (iron or aluminum) intake manifold permitted.  NO cut/welded permitted.  No fabricated/sheet metal or billet intake manifolds permitted. Porting allowed, Tunnel ram permitted.
  • CARBURETOR: Any commercially available, cast or billet construction.
  • FUEL INJECTION: Permitted.  
  • NITROUS OXIDE: Any single plate OR port system permitted (Plate systems allowed one fuel and one nitrous solenoid only. Fogger or Port systems allowed 2 solenoids for fuel, and 2 solenoids for nitrous only.)  Bottles must be secured; Pressure relief valves must be vented to outside atmosphere. Maximum #6 (-6) Feed line from bottle to nitrous solenoid.

Maximum hood height: 6" (ie: cowl/Sunoco/tear drop); lower part of hood must reasonably align (+/-1”) with top of fenders (no gigantic spacers). Hood pins/ locks OK, NO Dzus fasteners.  Bumpers may be replica composite/fiberglass.  Wheel well flaring or minor stretching ok for tire clearance.  NO Forward facing scoops or intake holes unless factory OE or factory OPTION. Tunnel ram height not restricted, no scoops are permitted on top of carburetors or throttle bodies (velocity stacks or air cleaners are OK)  
  • APPEARANCE:  Advertising graphics are not permitted on the body.  Other decals (advertising and sponsors) may appear on glass windows only.

  • CONVERTIBLE:  Permitted, top must remain up during competition (Except Roadster).  Roll bar/cage required based on IHRA rules.

Vehicles may be reinspected at any time to ensure compliance. (JR BIKE CRUISE RULES)

  • All Jr Bike Entries must successfully complete the Cruise to compete!
  • Rider entered must be on their entered bike, fully suited, during Cruise
  • Riders must be present and ready for cruise at specified time--NO exceptions!!
  • Riders should maintain stagger formation and adequate spacing
  • Riders may not pass Cruise Leader (unless they crash and you can't stop quick enough), nor fall behind Chase Vehicle--either is an automatic DQ
  • Two tires on the ground at all times--NO Hooligans!!
  • Any leaks or breakdowns will result in a DQ
  • Any crashes will result in a DQ (exception if somebody hits you, or you hit a rider who crashes in front of you--allow adequate spacing!!)
  • No outside assistance of any kind allowed
  • Cruise is restricted to riders only (nobody allowed on race track during Cruise)
  • Any rider who gets DQ'd will be allowed to pay/upgrade to SR or EXTREME
  • 25-30 minutes, various speeds

Upon completion of cruise:

  • All Bikes will convene in the back of the long staging lanes (horseshoe).
  • Bikes will all idle for 2 minutes.
  • Bikes will be shut off.
  • Bikes must be restarted within 5 minutes of shut down.
  • Upon successful restart, Cruise will be complete and racers may return to pits.
